all-purpose flour

milk
warm
1 ½

shredded cheddar cheese
or your favorite cheese

teaspoon
garlic powder
½
teaspoon
paprika
optional, for a little spice
salt & pepper
to taste
Instructions
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to remove the raw taste.
Gradually add warm milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheese until fully melted.
Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Serve warm over fries.
Notes
For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
