Ultimate Cheese Sauce for Fries

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional, for a little spice
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to remove the raw taste.
  • Gradually add warm milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheese until fully melted.
  • Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Serve warm over fries.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
