Ingredients
  

For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces your preferred pasta such as spaghetti

For the Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 ounces
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped basil
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in diced tomatoes and cook for a few minutes. Add ricotta cheese and mix until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and add freshly chopped basil. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
