sweet maple sausage

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
In a large skillet, cook the sweet maple sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Add the cubed bread, cooked sausage, cheese, maple syrup, blueberries, and pecans to the bowl. Stir to combine.
Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the liquid.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set. Drizzle with extra maple syrup before serving.
Notes
You can prepare this casserole the night before and refrigerate it. Add 10 minutes to the baking time if cooking from cold.
