Ingredients
  

For the Dip

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and garlic, and sauté until tender.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed mushrooms, cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and thyme or parsley. Mix until well blended.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with crackers or bread. You can add more herbs for extra flavor.
