Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the butter mixture and mix well.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  • Fold in the chopped strawberries.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

For a stronger lemon flavor, add more lemon juice or zest.
