For the Cake

For the Frosting

strawberry jam

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour the cake pans.
In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
Fold in the diced strawberries and pour the batter into the prepared cake pans.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cakes cool.
For the frosting, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and strawberry gelatin until stiff peaks form.
Spread strawberry jam between the layers of cake and frost the top and sides with the whipped cream mixture.
Decorate with additional fresh strawberries if desired. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
This cake can be made a day in advance. Keep it refrigerated until serving.
