Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup mashed strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries pureed
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Optional Garnishes:

  • Sliced fresh strawberries
  • Mint leaves
  • White chocolate drizzle

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Pan and Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish or two 8-inch round cake pans.

Step 2: Make the Cake Batter

  • In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, milk, oil, eggs, mashed strawberries, and vanilla extract.
  • Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2–3 minutes, until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Bake the Cake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s). Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Step 4: Prepare the Glaze

  • While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, pureed strawberries, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

Step 5: Glaze the Cake

  • While the cake is still slightly warm, drizzle the glaze generously over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides for a stunning finish.
  • Let the glaze set for 15–20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use Ripe Strawberries: For the best natural flavor and sweetness.
  • Don’t Overmix the Batter: To keep the cake light and fluffy.
  • Strain the Glaze: For a smoother texture if desired.
  • Cool Slightly Before Glazing: This helps the glaze stick without melting completely.
