For the Cake

fresh strawberries
or 1 cup crushed fresh strawberries

box French vanilla cake mix

box strawberry gelatin mix
Jell-O

vegetable oil

For the Frosting
½
block
cream cheese
softened to room temperature
⅓

unsalted butter
softened (you can use salted if that is all you have)

powdered sugar

teaspoon
vanilla extract

tablespoon
milk
more if needed to get desired texture
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, strawberry gelatin mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and fresh strawberries. Mix until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
While the cake is cooling, prepare the frosting by beating together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
Once the cake has cooled, frost it with the cream cheese frosting and serve.
Notes
You can add more strawberries on top for decoration if desired.
