Ingredients
  

For the Spicy Tuna Tartare

  • 8 oz sushi-grade tuna, diced into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1–2 teaspoon sriracha to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce or ponzu
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced red onion or shallot
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions or chives
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

For the Wonton Tacos

  • 10 pieces wonton wrappers

Garnishes

  • avocado slices for garnish
  • thinly sliced jalapeño or pickled ginger optional for topping
  • oil for frying wonton wrappers

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, sesame oil, soy sauce or ponzu, lime juice, red onion or shallot, green onions or chives, and sesame seeds. Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the wonton wrappers until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Fill each crispy wonton wrapper with the spicy tuna mixture. Top with avocado slices and optional jalapeño or pickled ginger.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture. You can adjust the level of spiciness by changing the amount of sriracha used.
