Ingredients
  

Filling

  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Crust

  • 1 deep dish pie shell (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and flour. Stir until well blended.
  • Add eggs, salt, vanilla, and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour filling into the pie shell.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
