Ingredients
  

For the Cobbler

  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts Optional for added texture.
  • ½ cup caramel sauce Optional for drizzling.
  • to taste pieces Mini vanilla wafers for topping Optional for added crunch.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Spread the banana mixture in a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix the yellow cake mix with melted butter and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture over the bananas.
  • If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with mini vanilla wafers if desired.

Notes

Serve warm for the best flavor. You can adjust the amount of spices based on your preference.
