Ingredients
  

For the Cobbler

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Topping

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a baking dish.
  • Layer the sliced bananas on top of the batter, then sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the bananas.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
