Ingredients
  

For the topping

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup self-rising flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup uncooked old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

For the filling

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons banana extract optional
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 4 ripe bananas sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, milk, banana extract, and melted butter for the filling. Pour into the baking dish.
  • Arrange sliced bananas evenly over the filling.
  • In another bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, softened butter, oats, and pecans for the topping. Crumble evenly over the bananas.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
