Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
  • 4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • smoked paprika to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed steak, sliced potatoes, onion, garlic, and seasonings.
  • Layer half of the mixture in the slow cooker, top with half of the cheese, then repeat the layers.
  • Pour the heavy cream and beef broth over the top, then dot with butter.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary. Adjust the seasoning based on your preference.
