For the Garlic Bread
4slicesthick slices of French or Italian bread
to tastesalt and pepper
to tastegarlic butter (made by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and parsley)
Instructions
In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes. Pour in the wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice. Add red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat your oven to broil. Spread garlic butter on the slices of bread and place them on a baking sheet. Broil until golden brown.
Serve shrimp in bowls with garlic bread on the side. Garnish with additional parsley.
Notes
You can substitute chicken broth for white wine if preferred. Adjust spice level by varying the amount of red pepper flakes.
