- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk at room temperature
- ¼ cup unsalted butter for glaze
- ¼ cup water for glaze
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Alternately add flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack.
For the glaze, melt butter and water in a saucepan. Drizzle over warm cake.
