For the Base

crunchy peanut butter

light brown sugar, packed

unsalted butter, softened

egg, room temperature

vanilla extract

For the Topping

grape jelly or jam, or any other flavor

salted peanuts, coarsely chopped
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, and butter. Mix until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix well.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until combined.
Spread half of the dough into the prepared baking pan. Layer with the jelly, then top with the remaining dough. Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
