Ingredients
  

For the Bars

  • 3 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and flour to the banana mixture. Stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

These banana bars can be served plain or with cream cheese frosting.
