For the Pasta

  • 1 cup Orzo Pasta Substitute with any small pasta if needed.

For the Sauce

  • 2 cups Low-Sodium Chicken Broth Vegetable broth makes it vegetarian-friendly.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Half and half can be used for a lighter sauce.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated offers the best melt.

For the Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  • Stir in onion, garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Cook until onion is soft.
  • Add orzo pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Cook until heated through and creamy.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
