Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • cups biscuit or pie dough store-bought or homemade
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Topping

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes fresh or canned

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is cooked through.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the cooked beef mixture, cheese, and diced tomatoes to the egg mixture and stir well.
  • Place the biscuit or pie dough in the skillet and pour the filling on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Add optional toppings as desired.
