Ingredients
  

For the Dish

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (about 7 ounces)
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth (about 20 fl oz)
  • 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (freshly shredded)

For the Flavor

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
  • Add the beef broth, macaroni, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until macaroni is cooked.
  • Stir in the milk and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option. Add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
