  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen blackberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, flour, half the sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine blackberries with the remaining sugar and pour them over the batter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
