Ingredients
  

For the Apples

  • 4 apples thinly sliced around 6 cups
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar for apples
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon for apples

For the Topping

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • cup light brown sugar for topping
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with ¼ cup brown sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Place the mixture in a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, ⅓ cup brown sugar, salt, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat.
