Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy. Add the egg and molasses, mixing well.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
Form the dough into small balls and roll them in granulated sugar.
Place the balls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until set.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them soft. You can add chocolate chips for extra flavor.
