Ingredients
  

For the Pastry

  • 1 package Puff Pastry store-bought

For the Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar can substitute with sugar alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract use pure extract for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice optional

For the Glaze

  • 1 beaten egg Egg can be replaced with milk
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar no direct replacement
  • 1 tablespoon Milk dairy-free options available

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal.
  • Brush with beaten egg or milk and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  • Mix powdered sugar with milk to create the glaze and drizzle over the warm pastries.

Notes

You can add fruit preserves for extra flavor or use different extracts for variation.
