Ingredients
  

For the French Toast

  • 8 slices thick-cut brioche bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

For the Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped pecans toasted

For Serving

  • Maple syrup
  • Additional toasted pecans

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture between two slices of brioche to form a sandwich.
  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Dip the stuffed bread in the egg mixture and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve with maple syrup and additional toasted pecans on top.

Notes

You can use any type of bread for this recipe. Feel free to add more toppings like whipped cream or fresh fruit.
