- 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup warm milk about 110°F
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter softened
- 2 large eggs at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional
- 1 cup raspberry preserves or jam
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream
Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
Add warm milk, softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and lemon zest. Knead until smooth.
Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
Mix raspberry preserves with cornstarch and water. Cook until thickened.
