Ingredients
  

  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup warm milk about 110°F
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional
  • 1 cup raspberry preserves or jam
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add warm milk, softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and lemon zest. Knead until smooth.
  • Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  • Mix raspberry preserves with cornstarch and water. Cook until thickened.
  • Roll out the dough, spread the raspberry filling, and roll into a log.
  • Place in a loaf pan and let rise again.
  • Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter and optionally drizzle with glaze.
