Ingredients
  

Shrimp Preparation

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Breading Mixture

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Egg Mixture

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Frying Oil

  • Vegetable oil for frying

Hot Honey Sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  • Dip each shrimp in the egg mixture, then coat in the flour mixture.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • For the hot honey sauce, melt butter in a small saucepan, then stir in honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Heat until combined.
  • Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried shrimp before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the heat level of the sauce by varying the amount of hot sauce and red pepper flakes used.
