Ingredients
  

For the Muffins

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup

For the Filling

  • 6 sausage patties cooked and flattened
  • 6 eggs scrambled or fried
  • 6 slices American cheese

Optional Add-ins

  • Sharp cheddar cheese for stronger flavor
  • Turkey sausage for a lighter option
  • Drizzle of hot honey for a sweet-spicy twist

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Whisk in milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup until smooth.
  • Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let muffins cool slightly, then slice in half.
  • Layer sausage, egg, and cheese between muffin halves.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Use any cheese or sausage you prefer. Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
