to cover the bottom few inches of a wok or deep fryer
Glaze Ingredients

butter

confectioners' sugar

teaspoons
vanilla extract

hot water
or as needed
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine milk, boiling water, and dry active yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Mix in flour, sugar, egg, butter, and salt until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough and cut into doughnut shapes. Let them rest for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C) and fry the doughnuts until golden brown.
For the glaze, melt butter and mix with confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and hot water until smooth.
Dip each doughnut into the glaze and place on a rack to cool.
Notes
You can adjust the glaze consistency by adding more hot water if needed.
