Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups sliced apples preferably Granny Smith
  • 1 cup brown sugar light or dark
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread sliced apples evenly in the dish.
  • In a bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, flour, and cinnamon.
  • Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  • Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • To make ahead, refrigerate assembled (unbaked) dish for up to 24 hours.
