Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs

For the Marinade

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Garnish

  • 1 piece green onion, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, vegetable oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard the marinade.
  • Grill the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  • Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar. Serve with rice or salad for a complete meal.
