Ingredients
  

For the cookies

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened at room temperature
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened at room temperature

For the coating

  • festive sprinkles optional, for decoration
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Add the yellow cake mix and egg to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and add sprinkles if desired.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
