- 2 Ribeye or sirloin steaks choose tender cuts
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Potato Bake
- 4 large Russet potatoes peeled and thinly sliced about ⅛ inch thick
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese shredded, sharp or extra-sharp
- 6 tablespoons Butter real butter
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Dried thyme plus extra for seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Dried rosemary plus extra for seasoning
