- ½ to 1 teaspoon garlic salt to taste
- 2 cans beef consommé 10.5-ounce cans
- 2 cans French onion soup 10.5-ounce cans
- ¾ cup water
- 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
- ¾ cup butter cut into slices
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
Stir in garlic salt, beef consommé, French onion soup, and water. Bring to a simmer.
Add the uncooked rice and butter slices. Stir to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
