Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and sugar, cooking until caramelized.
  • Add minced garlic, orzo, chicken, thyme, pepper, broth, and cream to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some fresh herbs or a splash of white wine to the mixture before baking.
