For the Burger

can (15 oz)
black beans
drained and rinsed

breadcrumbs
plain or seasoned

onion
finely chopped

garlic
minced

ground cumin

chili powder

egg
or 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal + 3 tablespoon water for vegan option

For Serving
Toppings
lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese (as desired)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, egg, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Form the mixture into four patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned.
Serve on burger buns with your choice of toppings.
