Ingredients
For the Crust

all-purpose flour

brown sugar

unsalted butter
cold and cubed
For the Caramel Pecan Layer

pecan halves
⅔

butter
½

brown sugar
packed
For the Chocolate Topping
1

milk chocolate chips
Optional Garnishes
Extra chopped pecans
Sea salt flakes
Drizzled caramel sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix the flour and brown sugar for the crust in a bowl. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
Press the crust mixture evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar for the caramel pecan layer. Stir in the pecans.
Spread the caramel pecan mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot caramel layer and let them melt. Spread evenly.
Cool completely before cutting into bars. Add optional garnishes if desired.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
