Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper

For the Topping

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large baking dish, layer the ground meat, onion, garlic, potatoes, carrots, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, top with cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

You can customize this casserole by adding your favorite vegetables or using different types of cheese.
