For the Pasta and Cheese Sauce

short pasta (such as macaroni, shells, or similar)

boursin cheese

cup
grated white cheddar cheese
packed

heavy cream
½
cup
milk

teaspoon
salt

unsalted butter

tablespoon
all-purpose flour
For the Topping
1
cup
plain breadcrumbs

tablespoon
unsalted butter
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in heavy cream and milk. Bring to a simmer.
Stir in boursin cheese and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Add cooked pasta and salt, mixing well.
Transfer to a baking dish. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top of the pasta.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
You can add cooked vegetables or protein to this dish for added nutrition.
