Ingredients
  

For the Onions

  • 4 small onions

For the Breading

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • to taste cooking spray for frying

Instructions
 

  • Peel the onions and cut them into bloom shapes.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs and buttermilk together.
  • Dip the onions first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and spray with cooking spray.
  • Fry the onions until golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
