- 1 lb button mushrooms cleaned and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- Vegetable oil for frying
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives chopped
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Clean and slice mushrooms.
Mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Dip mushrooms in beaten eggs, then coat with flour mixture.
Roll mushrooms in breadcrumbs or panko.
Heat oil in a pan and fry mushrooms until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
For the ranch dip, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, dill, chives, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
