Ingredients
  

For the Cod Fillets

  • 2 fillets cod (6 oz each) Look for thick, even cuts.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Regular, not extra virgin.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder This sticks better than fresh garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Use sweet or smoked.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Kosher salt sticks better than table salt.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked if desired.
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for a spicy kick.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Coat the cod fillets with the spice mixture.
  • Place the fillets in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

Adjust the seasoning to your taste. Serve with lemon wedges for added flavor.
