For the Base

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Avocado oil is a great substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Paste Fresh minced garlic works just as well.
  • 1.25 cup Ditalini Pasta You can swap it for any small pasta shape.
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth Go for vegetable broth to make it vegetarian.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt Adjust according to your preference.

For the Creamy Sauce

  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano makes a sharper alternative.
  • 0.25 cup Heavy Cream Lighten it with half-and-half or coconut cream.
  • 2 tablespoons Salted Butter Use unsalted butter if you prefer.

For the Finish

  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley Basil can also be a great alternative or omit if desired.
  • Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic paste and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Add the ditalini pasta and chicken broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.
  • In a skillet, melt the salted butter. Add the heavy cream, grated parmesan, and black pepper. Stir until combined and heated through.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, drain any excess broth if necessary. Stir the creamy sauce into the pasta.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the cream and cheese amounts to your preference for creaminess.
