Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 28 oz Bush’s Baked Beans
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon onion & herb seasoning
  • ¼ cup minced onions
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ½ cup chopped green bell peppers
  • Optional: ½ cup cooked bacon bits
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley shredded cheddar cheese, green onions

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  • Add minced and chopped onions and green bell peppers. Sauté until soft.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, seasoning, and any optional spices.
  • Add baked beans, stir well, and bring to a simmer.
  • Simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes. Add bacon bits if using.
  • Serve warm or transfer to a baking dish. Optional: top with cheese and bake at 350°F for 10–15 minutes.

Notes

  • Use sausage, turkey, or brisket as meat alternatives.
  • Freeze in portions for up to 3 months.
  • Add BBQ sauce for extra smoky flavor.
  • Serve over rice, cornbread, or baked potatoes for a full meal.
