For the Apple Mixture

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the chopped apples with sugar and cinnamon.
Layer half of the batter in the prepared loaf pan. Add the apple mixture, then top with the remaining batter.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl. Sprinkle over the top of the batter.
Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add nuts or raisins to the batter.
