Instructions
Prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and coconut extract. Mix until smooth.
Fold in the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
Once the cake is cooled, spread the frosting evenly on top.
Sprinkle the sweetened shredded coconut over the frosting.
Notes
You can toast the shredded coconut for added flavor.
