Ingredients
  

For the Candy

  • 3 small oranges or tangelos about 18–20 slices

For the Syrup

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Slice the oranges or tangelos into 18–20 slices.
  • In a pot, combine the sugar and water. Heat until the sugar dissolves and bring to a boil.
  • Add the orange slices to the boiling syrup and cook for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the slices and let them cool on a wire rack until set.

Notes

You can store the orange candy in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
