Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the Sugar Coating

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Filling [optional]

  • 1 cup dulce de leche

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, salt, and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough and spread softened butter over it.
  • Roll the dough into a log and cut into pieces. Place each piece into a muffin tin.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Mix sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  • Remove from oven, cool slightly, and coat with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  • If using, fill with dulce de leche before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by varying the sugar in the coating.
