Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 package cream cheese 8 ounces, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 ounces
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Red and green sprinkles for decorating

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Gradually add the yellow cake mix to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each ball in powdered sugar.
  • Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately decorate with red and green sprinkles.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
